Paper machine rebuild to Turkey from Vaahto Pulp & Paper Machinery

Vaahto Pulp & Paper Machinery has received an order to rebuild a fine paper machine for Turkish Kombassan A.ª. company. Its paper machine PM2 at the Konya mill located 600 km south of Istanbul will be equipped with Vaahto HQC –dilution controlled headbox and a modern Vaahto Sizer –film sizing and coating unit. Erection supervision, training and start-up services are part of the supply. The value of the orders amounts to over 2 million euros.

The rebuilt paper machine will be started up in the 1st quarter of 2008. The PM produces high-quality fine papers at 60 – 160 g/m2. The wire width of the machine is 3.6 m and construction speed 1000 m/min. Vaahto will manufacture the main components of the headbox and sizer at its Hollola workshop in Finland.
