Stora Enso Fors and Shouguang Chenming selected Vaahto equipment

Finnish paper machinery manufacturer Vaahto Pulp & Paper Machine ry has received orders from Sweden and China in June 2007. Vaahto will equip the middle ply headbox of Stora Enso Fors BM3 with a dilution control system. Shouguang Chenming will install a Vaahto Top-Former on its PM5.

Stora Enso Fors BM3 produces folding boxboard with wire width 6 meters and design speed 800 m/min. Vaahto´s delivery to Fors will include headbox rebuild to dilution profile control and approach flow equipment including new machin e screen. With the modernized headbox BM3 will produce board with improved CD basis weight profile. Erection, training and start-up of the machine are essential parts of the deal.

Shouguang Chenming is installing a second-hand machine to produce base paper for art paper. The target of the addition of Vaahto Top-Former is to improve formation and reduce two-sidedness of the paper. PM5 has a wire width of 4,55 m and design speed 1100 m/min.

Vaahto will manufacture main part of the goods in its Hollola workshop in Finland. Both deliveries will be started-up during the 1st quarter of 2008. The value of the orders amounts to 1,6 m€.
