VAAHTO PULP & PAPER MACHINERY SELECTED TO REBUILD STORA ENSO INGEROIS BOARD MACHINE

Vaahto Pulp & Paper Machinery has received an order from Stora Enso Ingerois mill in Finland of board machine BM4 modernization. BM4 middle layer headbox will be equipped with a state-of-the art dilution control system. The wind-up will be modernized to meet 3.2-meter-diameter tambour production and winder unwind stand will be rebuild for larger diameter tambours. The market value of an order of this type is usually approximately 2 million euros.

BM4 produces folding boxboard for very demanding applications. The wire width of the machine is 5100 mm and design speed 750 m/min. The annual output of the mill is around 200 000 tons coated board.

Equipment will be manufactured in Vaahto Ltd’s workshop in Hollola, Finland. The erection work is essential part of scope of supply. The start-up is scheduled for summer 2009.

Vaahto Pulp & Paper Machinery has earlier supplied headboxes with rectifier roll and dilution control technology for Stora Enso Imatra mills. Further, Stora Enso coreboard division Corenso has purchased Vaahto Pulp & Paper Machinery dilution technology for Pori and Wisconsin Rapids mills.
